Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the left rear wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
2. Remove the left rear wheelhouse liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
3. Remove the pressure relief valve. Refer to Pressure Relief Valve Replacement .
4. Reach into the rear compartment through the opening and locate the child safety release cable and pull handle to unlatch deck lid.

Rear Compartment

Tip
The handle will be on the inside of carpet. The cable runs between the rear wheelhouse and carpet. Pull the handle through the slot in the carpet.
