Preliminary Procedures
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to

- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

| Brake Hose Fitting Bolt
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Tighten 40 N·m (30 lb ft) |

| Brake Hose Fitting Gasket (Qty: 2)
Tip DO NOT reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets. Install NEW gaskets. |

| Front Brake Hose
Tip Plug the brake hose fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination. |

| Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (Qty: 2)
Tighten 34 N·m (25 lb ft) |

| Brake Caliper
Procedure
- If any of the disc brake caliper hardware is found to have excessive wear, replace the hardware. Refer to
Front Disc Brake Hardware Replacement.
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to
Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding.
- After the installation is complete and with the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
- Slowly release the brake pedal.
- Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 3-4 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper piston and the brake pads.
- Fill the master cylinder to the proper level. Refer to
Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling.
- Burnish the pads and rotors. Refer to
Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing.
