For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle.
  2. Using a scan tool, observe the Seat Adjuster Switch parameters in the driver position module data list. Operate all the seat adjuster switches in both directions.
  3. ⇒If the switch parameters display the correct switch status, replace the Memory Seat Module (MSM).
    ⇒If any of the switch parameters do not display the correct switch status, disconnect the seat adjuster switch connector.
  4. Using a DMM test for battery voltage at the switch supply voltage circuit terminal in the harness connector.
  5. ⇒If the battery voltage is present, replace the Seat Adjuster Switch.
    ⇒If the battery voltage is not present, refer to circuit testing.
  6. Test for a short to voltage or a short to ground throughout the switch supply circuit.
  7. ⇒If a fault is detected, repair or replace the effected circuit.
    ⇒If no fault is detected, replace the MSM.
