    Object Number: 1830255 Size: SH
  1. Install the studs into the left cylinder head.

    2. Object Number: 1838528 Size: SH
  2. Install a NEW left exhaust manifold gasket.

    3. Object Number: 1838524 Size: SH
  3. Install the left exhaust manifold.

    4. Object Number: 1838522 Size: SH
  4. Loosely install the left exhaust manifold upper bolts into the left cylinder head.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1838505 Size: SH
  5. Loosely install the left exhaust manifold lower bolts into the left cylinder head.
  6. Tighten the left exhaust manifold bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the left exhaust manifold bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1838500 Size: SH
  7. Install the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the ECT sensor to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  8. Place the left exhaust manifold heat shield in position.

    9. Object Number: 1838489 Size: SH
  9. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
