The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
When using the schematics for the Moveable Windows or the Door Lock/Indicators, it is necessary to identify what power window option the vehicle has. The RPO code for the power windows may not be listed in the GM Vehicle Inquiry System or on the Service Parts Identification Label. Also when using a scan tool it may be found there is no communications with the drivers or passenger's door modules. Some of the vehicles use a Driver and passenger door module, and some do not.
Below is a list of the different power window options and if they use door modules or not.
For the GMC Acadia.
AXA - Windows, power with driver Express-Down. This is part of the SLE trim package or the SLT-1 with 4SA or Y91. This option does not use any door modules. AXC - Windows, power with driver Express-Up and -Down. This part of the SLT-2 with 4SB equipment group. This option does use the drivers and passenger door modules.
For the Saturn Outlook.
AXA - Windows, power with driver Express-Down and lockout features. This is the standard option, and may not be listed in GM Vehicle Inquiry System or on the Service Parts Identification Label. This option does not use any door modules.
AXE - Windows, power with driver and passenger Express-Down and driver Express-Up. This is only an option on the Outlook XR and is Included and only available with (PDD) Enhanced Convenience Package. This option does use the drivers and passenger door modules.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
