The AC/DC power outlet system consists of the following components:
• | The PWR OUTLET fuse |
• | The accessory AC/DC power control module |
• | The 115V AC auxiliary power outlet |
The accessory AC/DC power control module converts the 12-volt DC battery voltage to 115 AC volts for the 115V AC auxiliary power outlet. The accessory AC/DC power control module provides 150 watts of power. The 115V AC auxiliary power outlet is located on the rear of the center console. The accessory AC/DC power control module is located at the left rear of the vehicle, above the jack.
Battery voltage is supplied to the accessory AC/DC power control module from the 25-amp PWR OUTLET fuse located in the underhood fuse block. The accessory AC/DC power control module is grounded to the bottom of the left rear D-pillar. When the ignition is turned ON, ignition voltage is supplied to the auxiliary power outlet. When a 115-volt AC powered device is plugged into the 115-volt power receptacle, with the ignition ON, the normally open plug-inserted switch, located internally in the auxiliary power outlet, closes. The accessory AC/DC power control module detects an ignition voltage signal on the control circuit and the accessory AC/DC power control module provides 115 AC volts to the auxiliary power outlet
