Inserted Navigation Disc Into CD Player And Now The Radio Will Not Eject Disc - keywords DVD inoperative intermittent

Subject: Inserted Navigation Disc Into CD Player and Now the Radio Will Not Eject Disc

Models:2007 GMC Acadia
2007 Saturn Outlook
with Navigation radio UZR only


The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

If the navigation disc is inserted into the CD slot on the face of the navigation radio (UZR), it may not eject. The Correct location for the navigation DVD is located behind the radio face plate.

Recommendation/Instructions:

To eject the disc from the radio, follow the steps listed below.

  1. Turn the ignition key off.
  2. Open the drivers door for 1 minute.
  3. Press the eject button twice and wait for disc to be ejected.

Note: This procedure also applies to any other disc types that are not ejectable with radio on. (DVD Videos, MP3 discs, CDs)

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
