The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The ambient temperature sensor may cause the ambient temperature reading to report too high, or it will update but does not maintain an accurate temperature reading under certain driving conditions. The location of the outside ambient temperature sensor has been identified as the cause of these false sensor readings to be displayed in the vehicle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Do not replace the ambient temperature sensor for this concern. A correction is being developed that will relocate the sensor to provide more accurate sensor readings. When a fix becomes available, this information will be updated.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
