Two-wheel drive vehicles are not equipped with a longitudinal accelerometer. The electronic brake control module (EBCM) for two-wheel drive vehicles sets a DTC if a longitudinal accelerometer signal voltage is detected at any time.
The ignition is ON.
The EBCM detects a longitudinal accelerometer signal voltage for 400 milliseconds.
If equipped, the following actions may occur.
• | The EBCM disables the ABS. |
• | The EBCM disables the TCS. |
• | The ABS fault message is displayed. |
• | The traction fault message is displayed. |
The Conditions for Setting the DTC are no longer present and you use the scan tool Clear DTCs function.
This DTC sets when an EBCM that is programmed for a two-wheel drive vehicle is inadvertently installed in a four wheel drive vehicle.
