The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
20A stop fuse in the UBEC may open at times. This may due to the drivers side sun visor retaining clip and/or screw making contact with the roof harness. The stop lamp circuit for the CHMSL is retained in the roof wiring harness
Recommendation/Instructions:
Remove the A-pillar trim and sun visor to gain access to the suspected harness. Inspect for damaged wires along the A-pillar and at the sun visor mount. Repair any damaged wires and re-route the harness to prevent any future concerns.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
