The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Customer may comment on a fluid leak from the transmission. Technicians may find the fluid leaking from the transmission output shaft seal.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Replace the output shaft seal and the slip yoke/stationary yoke (depending on application). Engineering will be requesting parts through the Warranty Parts Center (WPC) for a field investigation.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
