The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Rubbing or grinding noise may be heard in the cab and felt in the steering wheel or front floor area. This noise may sound rotational and is noticed more during parking lot maneuvers or aggressive turns.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Remove the number #2 lower body mount bolt (see image below for mount location). This is the body mount bolt that is behind the front wheel on either left or right side of the vehicle. Once the bolt is removed, drive the vehicle in parking lot maneuvers (10 MPH or less) to see if this noise is eliminated. If so, replace the #2 lower mount bolt with current SPO parts.

Note: Only replace the side that is making noise. It is not necessary to replace both sides unless both sides are the cause of the noise.
