Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement XTREME

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1505958  Size: SH
  1. Remove the top left and right side step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove the center step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Center Pad Replacement .
  3. Remove the top push-in pins from the left and right sides of the upper fascia cover.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Remove the push-in pins (4) from the left and right sides, one in each corner of the fascia cover.
  6. Disconnect the license lamp electrical connectors.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Remove the rear fascia cover.
  9. • Release both upper corners of the rear fascia cover (1), by pull upward until the tape strips are fully released.
    • Grasp the upper center of the rear fascia cover (2), pull rearward until the tape strip is fully released.
    • Grasp the center lower fascia cover (3), pull rearward until the tape strips are fully released.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the fascia to the bumper.
  2. • If the original rear fascia cover is being reused, the tape strips must be replaced in all three areas  (1, 2, 3).
    • Clean all traces of the old tape strips from both fascia and bumper.
    • Clean the upper fascia and lower bumper with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water by volume on a dampened lint free cloth.
  3. Install the top push-in pins to the left and right sides of the upper fascia.
  4. Install the top left and right side step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
  5. Install the center step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Center Pad Replacement .
  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  7. Install the push-in pins (4) to the left and right sides, one in each corner of the fascia.
  8. Connect the license lamp electrical connectors.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
