Engine Flywheel Replacement with Automatic Transmission

J 45059 Angle Meter

1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement.
2. Remove and discard the flywheel bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel.

1. Position the flywheel to the crankshaft

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the new flywheel bolts and tighten to 40 N·m (30 lb ft) plus an additional 45 degrees using the J 45059 .
3. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement.

1. Remove the clutch assembly. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement.
2. Remove and discard the flywheel bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel.

1. Position the flywheel to the crankshaft

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the new flywheel bolts and tighten to 40 N·m (30 lb ft) plus an additional 45 degrees using the J 45059 .
3. Install the clutch assembly. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement.
