J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor from the evaporator inlet tube.
Installation Procedure
- Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the evaporator inlet tube fitting.
Note: DO NOT allow any of the mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil on the O-ring seal to enter the refrigerant system.
- Lightly coat the O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor to the evaporator inlet tube. Tighten the sensor to
5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Leak test the fittings of the component using
J 39400-A .
