Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Split Bench Seat Replacement or Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
  2. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
  3. Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement.

  4. Object Number: 1350222  Size: SH
  5. Remove the seat adjuster cable (3) from the seat adjuster (2).
  6. Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball (1) though the round opening.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to remove the cable from the opposite side of the seat.
  8. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the front of the seat cushion frame enough to expose the front seat cushion frame mounting nuts. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement.

  9. Object Number: 1333096  Size: SH
  10. Loosen the seat cushion frame mounting nuts (1) to raise the frame enough to slide the cable out from between the seat cushion frame and the seat adjuster.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cable between the seat cushion frame and the seat adjuster.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Tighten the seat cushion frame mounting nuts (1) that secure the seat cushion frame to the power seat adjuster frame to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
  4. Install the seat cushion cover and pad over the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement.

  5. Object Number: 1350222  Size: SH
  6. Install the cable end to the seat adjuster (2) by inserting the ball (1) though the round opening.
  7. Install the seat adjuster cable (3) to the seat adjuster (2).
  8. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to install the cable to the opposite side of the seat.
  9. Install the seat switch bezel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement.
  10. Install the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
  11. Install the seat in the vehicle. Refer to Split Bench Seat Replacement or Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
