The electronic brake control module (EBCM) supplies an ignition voltage to the yaw rate sensor lateral accelerometer and is monitored via an internal feedback circuit to the EBCM microprocessor.
• | The ignition is ON. |
• | Ignition voltage is greater than 9.5 volts. |
The yaw/lateral sensor is setting an internal electronic failure.
• | Vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) is disabled. |
• | A DIC message and/or a warning indicator may be displayed. |
• | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
• | The EBCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 50 consecutive drive cycles. |

⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test for an open/high resistance in the low reference circuit. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. |
