Suction Hose Replacement LLV, LLR

Tools Required

J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 1222572  Size: SH
  4. Remove the suction hose mounting bolt (1) from the A/C compressor (7).
  5. Remove the suction hose (2) from the A/C compressor.

  6. Object Number: 1222563  Size: SH
  7. Remove the nut (4) from the TXV stud.
  8. Remove the suction hose from the TXV.

  9. Object Number: 1207720  Size: SH
  10. Remove the suction hose assembly (4) from the vehicle.
  11. Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap the system openings.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1207720  Size: SH
  1. Install the suction hose (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Install new sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 1222563  Size: SH
  4. Install the suction hose to the TXV.
  5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the nut (4) to the TXV stud.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  8. Install the suction hose (2) to the compressor using new sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
  9. Install the suction hose mounting bolt (1) to the A/C compressor (7).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  11. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .
  12. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  13. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A .
