Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1300436 Size: SH
  1. Position the IPC to the I/P.
  2. Ensure the CPA arm is in the open position. Connect the electrical connector to the IPC.

  3. Object Number: 1300433 Size: SH
  4. To lock the connector (2), move the CPA arm (1) toward the electrical harness.

  5. Object Number: 1340551 Size: SH
  6. Install the IPC to the I/P.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the screws retaining the IPC to the I/P.
  9. Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

Important: The odometer will read zero miles after the IPC is replaced. The BCM stores the mileage information for the odometer. The vehicle will have to be driven for the body control module (BCM) to send out a mileage update to the IPC. The IPC should then display the current mileage.

  10. Install the IPC bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement.
