When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

P12 PCM Replacement

Recommendation/Instructions:

In an effort to obtain feedback on the diagnostics for the new P12 controller we are requesting your assistance. If your diagnostics have lead you to a PCM replacement please provide us with the following:

  1. What was the original customer complaint?
  2. If the SES light is on, what DTC is set?
  3. What has the technician done prior to contacting TAC?
  4. What SI document ID was used that lead to PCM replacement?
  5. What was the sequence of the step taken in the above SI trouble tree?
  6. What is the scan code off the PCM ( white label affixed to the PCM)?
  7. Why did the technician replace the PCM?

This PI will be pulled when sufficient data has been gathered.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
