Models: | 2004 Chevrolet Colorado Pick Up |
2004 GMC Canyon Pick Up |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some 2004 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pick-ups may exhibit one or more of the following codes in the BCM history when performing diagnostics: B0527, B0528, B0529, B0532, B0533 or B0534. This is due to a software issue and will not turn on any warning lights.
Do not attempt to make any repairs for these codes set in the history of the BCM. However, if any of these codes appear as current in the BCM, inspect the left and right rear stop turn signal lamp supply voltage circuits for an open short to ground or short to voltage. Also inspect the front turn signal lamp supply voltage circuits for an open short to ground or short to voltage.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
