The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced due to a P060E DTC, and the SI diagnostics may have led to PCM replacement without repairing the concern.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If this concern is experienced, inspect the following areas before replacing the PCM per the SI diagnostics:
• | If there is an APP or TP Sensor DTC stored with the P060E, such as a P2135 or a P2138, follow the SI diagnostics for the APP or TP Sensor DTC and repair as necessary.
|
• | If the P060E is the only DTC stored, inspect all of the APP and TP Sensor Circuits for potential shorts to ground, poor terminal tension, etc., and repair as necessary.
|
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
