The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some customers may comment on a rough running concern and SES light. Upon inspection, the technician may find history misfires on all cylinders, along with any of the following DTCs P0106, P0107, P0171, P0300, P0502, and/or P1107.
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, inspect all of the MAP sensor circuits to see if any of them are broken inside of the insulation near the MAP sensor connector. Typically, if one of the circuits breaks inside of the insulation, it will be within a couple inches of the MAP sensor connector. If a broken circuit is found, follow SI wire repair procedures to repair the circuit as necessary and re-evaluate the concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
