Suction Hose Replacement LLV, LLR

Removal Procedure
- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Remove the generator. Refer to
Generator Replacement
.
- Remove the suction hose mounting bolt (1) from the A/C compressor (7).
- Remove the suction hose (2) from the A/C compressor.
- Remove the nut (4) from the TXV stud.
- Remove the suction hose from the TXV.
- Remove the suction hose assembly (4) from the vehicle.
- Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap the system openings.
Installation Procedure
- Install the suction hose (4) to the vehicle.
- Install new sealing washers. Refer to
Sealing Washer Replacement
.
- Install the suction hose to the TXV.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the nut (4) to the TXV stud.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the suction hose (2) to the compressor using new sealing washers. Refer to
Sealing Washer Replacement
.
- Install the suction hose mounting bolt (1) to the A/C compressor (7).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the generator. Refer to
Generator Replacement
.
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Leak test the fittings of the component using the
J 39400-A
.
