Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the screws from the HVAC module assembly.
  3. Remove the screw from the mode cam.
  4. Remove the mode cam from the HVAC module assembly.

  5. Object Number: 888407  Size: SH
  6. Separate the HVAC module assembly halves (1 and 4).
  7. Remove the mode door linkage from the mode door.
  8. Remove the mode door (1) from the HVAC module assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 888407  Size: SH
  1. Install the mode door to the HVAC module assembly.
  2. Install the mode door linkage to the mode door.
  3. Assemble the HVAC module assembly halves (1 and 4).
  4. Install the mode cam to the HVAC module assembly.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the mode cam screw.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.9 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the screws to the HVAC module assembly.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the HVAC module assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
