The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

There are two types of chimes and locations that may heard as a warning. 1. Chime from the left front door speaker. 2. Chime from the instrument panel cluster.

Recommendation/Instructions:

  1. The first chime is heard from the left front door speaker works via class 2 through the radio and/or amplifier. This chime is for "Door Ajar Warning", "Fasten Safety Belt Warning", "Key In Ignition Warning", "Lights On Warning", and "IPC indicator" or "DIC indicator" notification. Please reference eSI Document ID # 1300038 for further explanation.
  2. The second, an audible "click" heard and generated from the IPC. This audible "click" is used for turn signal and hazard signals. It will "click" at the rate of the turn and/or hazard signal.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
