This PI was superceded to add the Colorado and Canyon and also additional codes. Please discard PIT4641.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
A "SERVICE TIRE MONITOR" warning message is displayed in the DIC with one or more DTC's C0750, C0755, C0760 and C0765 or a C0775 and the tire pressure sensors will not learn. This may be caused by the RKE/TPM antenna wire being shorted to ground or not seated properly at the BCM. This antenna wire is not shown in the wiring schematics.
Check for the RKE/TPM antenna wire for being shorted to ground or a loose antenna connection at the BCM. See the picture below of the antenna wire on the BCM.
The antenna wire (1) is a single Black wire that plugs into the BCM. Some TAC cases show the wire is being pinched behind the bolt (2).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
