Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1658113 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Place a suitable drain pan under the oil filter.
  3. Remove the oil filter (437).

    4. Object Number: 1658160 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil filter adapter (438).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1658160 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil filter adapter (438).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the adapter to 55 N·m (40 lb ft).

  2. Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil.
  3. Install the oil filter (437).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the filter to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Refill the engine oil. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities and/or Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations.
  6. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
