J 35582 Oil Pump Seal Installer

1. Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to One-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Transfer Case Seal Removal Caution in the Preface section.




2. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver and a hammer, remove the rear output shaft seal from the transfer case.

1. Using the J 35582 and a hammer, install the rear output shaft seal into the transfer case.
2. Install the rear propeller shaft. Refer to One-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement.
3. Inspect the transfer case fluid level. Refer to Transfer Case Fluid Replacement.
