Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1204230 Size: SH
  1. Open the midgate.
  2. Remove the screw (1) retaining the midgate wedge (2) to the body.
  3. Remove the midgate wedge from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1204230 Size: SH
  1. Install the midgate wedge (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the screw (1) retaining the wedge to the body.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw only until the wedge cannot rock up and down, but can slide fore and aft.

  3. Slide the midgate wedge as far forward as possible.
  4. Close the midgate assembly to set the wedge adjustment.
  5. Open the midgate.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Fully tighten the midgate wedge screw.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the midgate wedge screw to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
