  1. Align the tab (1) on the endgate body side wedge to the slot in the body.
  2. Press the body side wedge assembly onto the body.
  3. Install the screw retaining the body side wedge to the body.
  4. Tighten
Tighten the screw only until the wedge does not rock, but will still slide fore and aft.

  6. Close the endgate to set the wedge to the correct position.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Open the endgate and secure the body side wedge to the body.
  9. Tighten
Tighten the body side wedge screw to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
