Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1229170 Size: SH
  1. Swing open the endgate.
  2. Remove the bolts retaining the torque rod to the endgate.
  3. Remove the torque rod from the endgate and hinge assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1229170 Size: SH
  1. Install the torque rod to the endgate and hinge assembly.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts retaining the torque rod to the endgate.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the torque rod bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Close the endgate.
