The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On a vehicle without Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) (RPO AUO), there will be a key cylinder / push button to release the rear lift glass. When the vehicle is locked, the rear glass key cylinder will unlock the rear glass ONLY. Once the key unlocks the glass, it will be necessary to push the release button to release the glass. To lock the lift glass after using the key to unlock, it will be necessary to use the power door lock switch on either drivers or passenger door.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The key cylinder will NOT lock the rear glass. This is normal operation.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
