Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the radiator support diagonal brace if applicable. Refer to Radiator Support Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Remove the radiator air intake baffle if applicable. Refer to Air Intake Baffle Replacement - Radiator in Body Front End.

    3. Object Number: 732055 Size: SH
  3. Loosen the three air cleaner cover/resonator retaining screws (2) one shown, and remove the cover/resonator (1).

    4. Object Number: 732134 Size: SH
  4. Lift the air cleaner element (1) and air outlet duct (3) from the lower air cleaner housing/washer solvent tank assembly (2).
  5. Remove the air cleaner element (1) by grasping the air cleaner element and removing it from the air outlet duct (3) with a twisting and pulling motion.
  6. Inspect the entire assembly for debris or damage and repair as necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 732134 Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner element (1) onto the air outlet duct (2) with a twisting and pushing motion.
  2. Snap the air cleaner element (1) and air outlet duct (3) into the lower air cleaner housing/washer solvent tank assembly (2).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the air cleaner cover/resonator assembly (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the three air cleaner cover/resonator retaining screws (2) one shown, to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  4. Install the radiator air intake baffle if applicable. Refer to Air Intake Baffle Replacement - Radiator in Body Front End.
  5. Install the radiator support diagonal brace if applicable. Refer to Radiator Support Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
