Rear Seat Center Belt Buckle Replacement TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada
Removal Procedure
- Adjust the left rear seat back to a cargo
position.
- Adjust the seat filler panel on the bottom of the seat back in
order to access the center rear seat back mounting nut.
- Remove the rear seat back mounting nut.
- Return the seat to an upright position.
- Remove the clip(s) that retain the seat belt buckle anchor plate
to the latch bracket.
- Remove the seat belt buckle/anchor plate from the vehicle.
Installation procedure
- Install the seat belt buckle/anchor plate to the vehicle.
- Install the clip(s) that
retain the seat belt buckle/anchor plate to the latch bracket.
- Adjust the left seat back to a cargo position.
- Adjust the seat filler panel in order to access the center rear
seat back bracket/seat belt buckle anchor plate.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the center
seat back/seat belt buckle mounting nut.
Tighten
Tighten the center rear seat back mounting nut to 45 N·m
(33 lb ft).
- Return the seat to an upright position.

Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to

- Remove the trim panel from the seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the bolt (1) securing the center
buckles to the mid-position floor latch assembly.
- Remove the center seat belt buckles.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or

- Install the center seat belt buckles to the mid-position floor latch assembly
with the bolt (1).
Tighten
Tighten the rear center seat belt buckle assembly bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
- Install the trim panel to the seat cushion. Refer to

- Install the seat in the vehicle. Refer to
