Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General
Information.
- Remove the electronic brake control module (EBCM) from the vehicle. Refer to
Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement
.
Important: In the following service procedures, insert rubber plugs or caps on the exposed brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the left front brake pipe.
- Remove the right front brake pipe.
- Remove the rear brake pipe.
- Remove the master cylinder brake pipes from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV).
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the master cylinder brake pipes to the BPMV.
Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the rear brake pipe.
Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the right front brake pipe.
Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the left front brake pipe.
Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the EBCM. Refer to
Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement

- Bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to
Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure
