Rear Seat Cushion Replacement TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat bracket trim cover.
- Remove the hydraulic jack from the jack stowage area, on the left
side only.
- Position the seat cushion
assembly in order to gain access to the 2 rear seat mounting nuts.
- Remove the 2 mounting nuts.
- Remove the seat cushion assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the seat cushion
assembly to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 2 nuts that retain the seat cushion assembly to the floor
panel.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
- Install the hydraulic jack into the jack stowage area, on the
left side only.
- Adjust the seat cushion assembly to the latched position.
- Install the rear mount trim cover.
