This bulletin is being revised to provide the correction and warranty information which is now available. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 04-08-44-004 (Section 08 -- Body and Accessories).


Condition

Some customers may comment on a pop type noise coming from the rear speakers. This noise occurs when the Rear Seat Audio (RSA) is turned on or off.

Cause

The cause of this condition may be internal within the speaker amplifier.

Correction

Replace the radio speaker amplifier with P/N 15135032. Refer to the Amplifier Replacement procedure in the Entertainment sub-section of the Service Manual (SI Document ID #717629 for Bravada, Envoy, TrailBlazer or #812335 for Envoy XL, TrailBlazer EXT or #1392439 for Envoy XUV).
