The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may experience a loaded disc no longer being recognized (icon not illuminated for the disc) and not able to play or eject the disc. Also comments that the disc was lost after the display showed "INITIALIZING" or after a short pause or both.
Recommendation/Instructions:
To correct this concern remove and reinstall the radio fuse. This should make the disc available for play or eject. Then eject all discs from the radio and proceed to reprogram the radio with the latest calibrations using Tis2Web.
Note: If cycling the power to the radio does not make the disc available to eject there may be some other failure and proceed with normal radio diagnostics.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
