| 2006-2009 - GMC Envoy Models |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment that the chime volume is too loud. This typically occurs after the navigation radio has been serviced for an unrelated concern. This is due to the selection within the navigation radio selected to the "LOUD" setting.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Select the Config or Configure button on the left side of the Navigation radio. This button is located next to the Navigation screen, between the volume and tuning knobs. Once this button is selected, the screen above will display. Locate "Vehicle Chime"
on the Navigation screen (refer to illustration above). The black highlighted area is the selected option. Press and hold the desired selection for 2-5 seconds or until the desired selection is highlighted. Re-evaluate the concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
