Tools Required

J 45059 Angle Meter

1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
2. Remove the oil level indicator. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement .
3. Remove the coolant air bleed pipe. Refer to Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Assembly Replacement .
4. Remove the right exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side .
5. Remove the pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
6. If equipped, remove the auxiliary air conditioning (A/C) bracket nut (2).
7. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Removal - Right Side .
8. Clean and inspect the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection .

1. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Installation - Right Side .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




2. If equipped, install the auxiliary A/C bracket nut (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

3. Install the pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
4. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
5. Install the right exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side .
6. Install the coolant air bleed pipe. Refer to Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Assembly Replacement .
7. Install the oil level indicator. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement .
