Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement .
  2. Rotate the console.
  3. Remove the screw from the air outlet duct.
  4. Remove the air outlet duct from the floor console.

  5. Object Number: 284225  Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear mode actuator retaining screws.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  8. Object Number: 284229  Size: SH
  9. Remove the rear mode actuator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 284229  Size: SH
  1. Install the mode actuator.
  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screws to the mode actuator.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  6. Install the air outlet duct to the console.
  7. Install the screw to the air outlet duct.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  9. Install the console. Refer to Console Replacement .
