The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some customers may comment that the "Cruise" and the "Check Gauges" indicators are inoperative in the IPC. This concern occurs only on vehicles that are NOT equipped with the Drivers Information Center (DIC) RPO U68. With the addition of Vehicle Stability Enhancement System (VSES is a standard feature for 2006 model year), a "Service Stability" and "Stability Active" indicator is required. The "Cruise" indicator is replaced by the "Service Stability" indicator and the "Check Gauges" indicator is replaced by the "Stability Active" indicator.
This is normal operating characteristics. No repairs are to be attempted.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
