Did you perform the RAP System Check?

Use the scan tool in order to read the current DTCs.

Does the scan tool display any current DTCs?

--

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type in Body Control System

Go to Step 3

  1. Use the scan tool in order to monitor the driver and passenger door handle and jamb switches.
  2. Open and close each door.

Do the inputs change from ACTIVE to INACTIVE?

Go to Step 4

Go to Interior Lamps System Check in Lighting Systems

  1. Close all of the doors.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, then to the OFF position.
  3. Using the scan tool, monitor the RAP timer.

Does the RAP timer count down?

Go to Step 5

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System

Disconnect the body control module (BCM) connector C1.

Does the RAP relay deactivate?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 6

Inspect CKT 755 (BLK) for a short to ground.

Is CKT 755 (BLK) shorted to ground?

Go to Step 8

Replace the RAP relay.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 755 (BLK).

Is the repair complete?
