Important: The abnormal results from the following diagnostic system check are discussed in another table. Complete as many steps as possible and observe the results. If you notice any abnormal results before you complete all of the steps, refer to Symptom Diagnosis .

  1. Open the sunroof sunshade.
  2. Determine if the sunroof is in the FLUSH position.
  3. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  4. Depress and hold the forward portion of the sunroof control switch. The switch is located in the overhead console.
  5. Release the switch when the sunroof reaches the VENT position and stops raising.
    • The sunroof raises to the TILT-UP or VENT position with the rear raised.
    • The sunroof stops softly at the VENT position without unusual noise or vibration.
    • The elapsed time for the motion is less than 8.4 seconds.

Power Sunroof Inoperative

  1. Depress and hold the rearward portion of the sunroof control switch.
  2. Release the switch when the sunroof reaches the CLOSED or FLUSH position and stops moving.
    • The sunroof will lower to the FLUSH position with the rear lowered.
    • The elapsed time for the motion was less than 8.4 seconds.

Power Sunroof Inoperative

Momentarily depress the rearward portion of the sunroof control switch.

    • The sunroof slides to the OPEN position without unusual noises or vibration.
    • The sunroof stops softly at the OPEN position without unusual noises or vibration.
    • The elapsed time for the motion is less than 8.4 seconds.

Power Sunroof Inoperative

  1. Depress and hold the forward portion of the sunroof control switch.
  2. Release the switch when the sunroof is at the closed position.
    • The sunroof slides to the CLOSED position without unusual noises or vibration.
    • The elapsed time for the motion was less than 8.4 seconds.
