Rear Seat Replacement 2-Door

Removal Procedure

    Important: Remove the passenger side seat before removing the driver side seat.

  1. Pry upward gently with a flat-bladed tool in order to remove the seat leg and the hinge covers.

  2. Object Number: 298939  Size: SH
  3. Tilt the seat back slightly forward in order to remove the seat leg nuts.
  4. Fold the seat in order to remove the rear seat nuts.
  5. Remove the seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 298939  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Fold the seat back forward in order to install the rear seat mounting nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat mounting nuts to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat leg and the hinge covers.
  6. Ensure that the covers lock into place.

Removal Procedure

    Important: Remove the passenger side rear seat before removing the driver side rear seat.

  4. Fold the seat in order to remove the rear seat nuts.
