For 1990-2009 cars only
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the rear brake drum. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement in Drum Brakes.
- Remove the rear brake rotor if equipped. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
- Inspect and replace the park brake shoe and lining if any of the following conditions are found:
- Adjust the park brake shoes if necessary. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Adjustment .
- Install the rear brake drum. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement in Drum Brakes.
- Install the rear brake rotor, if equipped. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
- Lower the vehicle.
