Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle and support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Disconnect the right rear cable at the equalizer.
- Remove the park brake cable retainer.
- Remove the left hinge pillar trim. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
- Remove the retainer and the grommet.
- Disconnect the cable from the lever.
- Disconnect the front cable.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front cable.
- Connect the retainer and the grommet. All retaining fingers must be completely through the hole.
- Connect the cable to the lever.
- Install the left hinge pillar trim. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
- Install the retainer.
- Connect the right rear cable to the equalizer and to the nut.
- Adjust the park brake cable. Refer to Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment .
- Lower the vehicle.
