The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
The battery goes dead after Recreational (Dinghy) Towing the vehicle. The owners manual under "recreational towing" recommends removing the "RDO BATT" fuse #19 to prevent battery drain. Customers may comment that after removing the fuse, the battery still goes dead.
The "RDO BATT" fuse #19 and the "CLSTR" fuse #11 should be removed from the I/P fuse block to prevent battery drain and the transfer case should be shifted to the neutral position. More detailed information is outlined in the owners manual under "recreational towing" and bulletin 00-00-89-008D Recreational (Dinghy) Towing.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
