The 1982 Model 700-R4 Shop Manual (X-8232) procedures require the following corrections:
1. 2-4 Servo Pin Selection Procedure on page 700-R4-7.
a. The servo pins are not supplied with tool J-33037.
b. When checking pin length, tool J-33037 should be torqued to 100 lb. in. not 100 ft. lb.
2. (Page 700-R4-7) Valve Body and Wiring Harness Parts:
a. Step #9 should read "Remove the 1-2 accumulator spring, piston, gasket and plate," (Figure 700-R4-2).
b. Step #12 should read "Remove the 3-4 accumulator spring, piston and pin from the transmission."
3. Removing or installing the servo cover with tool J-29714 must be done while the oil pan is installed. Figure 700-R4-4 on page 700-R4-9 and Figure 700-R4-54 on page 700-R4-29 must be altered accordingly.
4. Figure 700-R4-38 on page 700-R4-23 must be altered as follows:
a. Item #18 should be "Forward Clutch Apply Plate." Item #19 should be "Forward Clutch Waved Plate."
b. Item #37 should be designated - Use with four clutch plates only.
5. The tool listed in Step #3 of Pump Cover and Body Assembly on page 700-R4-31 should be J-21368. This number should also be changed on Figure 700-R4-60 (page 700-R4-32) and on Figure 700-R4-79 (page 700-R4-42).
